I have a Little Samson cart from when I was collecting NES games in the 90's. There's a $17 price sticker on the back that's good for a laugh.

You guys should do a Crappy rare video games including titles such as action 52, captain void and Sega genesis Tetris.
If you want a cheap DuckTales 2 game, get the Game Boy one. Level maps aren't exactly the same of course, but it does have the same settings, and it's a bit cheaper. :p
Got both Ducktales 2, Rescue Rangers 2, Little Samson, Panic Restaurant and Noah's Ark.
Could be because they probably sold better in PAL territory though :B
I was glad to see E.V.O. catching some flack. I always see it come up on other forums when people suggest SNES games or list best SNES games and I never really understood why. It's different and kind of interesting but it's also boring and generally frustrating to play.
Little Samson is such a cool game but the price is just too nuts for me. The character switching is a lot like Mega Man in the sense that you don't usually have to use the boss weapons often but doing so makes things simpler. It's not god's gift to platformers or worth its obscene asking price to me though. Even the cheaper Famicom version is too much.
I for one only threw out a whoopin' $10 for my copy of Samson.
Which is like the minimum price you can get NES carts for around here.
So I was very pleased. Now if only I could find a Mr.Gimmick cart for the same price.
I'd love to see you guys do an episode or two dedicated to giant robot games.
Or maybe just one about the Assault Suits series and related games like Metal Warriors (though you covered that before in the multiplayer game one) and Front Mission Gun Hazard.
Someone's mentioned it before, but an episode dedicated to games that use ram expansions would be great.
Another cool episode. http://i56.tinypic.com/10qlwdl.jpg
This was a great episode, better than the last dozen ones IMO.
Thanks a lot, guys.
I love Quackshot's music, really...
Granada's graphics are great for a 1990 game IMO. Usually, ports from the arcade or from high-end machines like the X68000 (which is the case here) didn't retain most of the graphic details like this one and it actually has some extra content in comparison. I think the big sprites, the animation and the parallax were very impressive at the time and considering the hardware limitations. Too bad the cutscenes from the X68000 version are missing though...
Loved this episode, too. :)
I really want to love Tomba but even going back to it recently, I still found its quests to be tedious. Maybe it's unfair but I just wish it was a more straightforward platformer like Ghouls n Ghosts.
x68000 Granada deserves a mention. It looks like Barone beat me to it.
Black Belt and Shinobi Legions do seem to get a bad rap unfairly. The former was arguably the best of the single plane, Kung Fu Master style beat 'em ups back in 1986 so I don't get it.
Great episode as always. I've been meaning to pick up Quackshot and Granada for a while now, they look great. If Shinobi Legions had regular sprites everyone would probably love it. Does it have anything to do with the actual Shinobi series or is it a one off? It was the last Shinobi game we got until 2002 I believe.
Poor Joe's fiance having to look at the backside of Joe and Dave while they were fighting (cheating) over who would use the powerpad. This is also the first time I see Tomba in motion, a game I wrote off as not likely the type of game I'd like back in the PS1 era (oh what a fool I was, looks fun).
Also death by boredom in Beyond Shadowgate. :D
What are your guys thoughts on LotR – Two Towers game if you've played it. I’ve only got a few PS2 games and have seen this cheap at flea markets but never bought it thinking probably a subpar hack and slash game I would never play. Is it an overlooked gem?
