It and Super Mario Bros. 2 would have probably been the 2 most obvious choices though.

Good episode, Joe!
Thanks for taking my suggestion about a regional differences episode, it was quite interesting. And I didn't know about that whole Batman's section using shadow effects; pretty awesome!
About including SOR3, seriously? I'm not watching Game Sack to know what me and everybody else already knows.
Games based on movies. Hey Joe and Dave, I highly recommend you guys play "The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Buthcer Bay" for the original Xbox. I'll even let you guys borrow my copy if you'd like.

I was surprised to not see Aladdin or The Lion King games on there. They may have already covered those though.
I still really enjoyed this episode!
Joe reminded me in this video, I still need the Genesis Dick Tracy game. Played it in emulation and enjoyed it.
You guys should play Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, technically released during the release of the movie.
It's refreshing to see a dissenting voice re: Super Back to the Future 2, not because I don't like the game (I've never played it) but because it did seem like it was getting overhyped.
As for more games based on movies, True Lies (Genesis/SNES/Game Boy/etc.) and The Italian Job (the PS1 game based on the movie from the 1960s) come to mind. Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street are obvious picks; the latter has a nifty four-player mode that can be made to look like some sort of complicated ballet:

And then there's more painful stuff like Platoon (NES), Last Action Hero, and so on.
Also, there was a huge pile of tie-ins for the Atari 2600 -- beyond the obvious (e.g. E.T. and Raiders), you had games like Krull, Mega Force, Porky's, and so on. And then there's WarGames for the ColecoVision, Poltergeist for the Tandy CoCo, and so on. But Game Sack doesn't usually touch pre-NES systems, so I know those are unlikely.
Nice episode. One of my favorite movie games is Alien 3 for Genesis, which apparently you guys know about since you used a music track from it. Great game.
I still kind of want to play it, can't argue with the game's stylish look which epitomizes "bouncy 2d platformer" to me. I wish I weren't such a sucker for pastel graphics.
Skipping through a longplay on the 'tube right now -- looks like the developers drank the Sonic Kool-Aid for some gameplay elements.
Hmmm, couldn't find any super intrusive Mode 7 segments so far, that's -- kind of a shame. :p
Dave likes Universal Soldier (Genesis) but Joe doesn't? Well, Dave is entirely right on this one! Very good game.
Better than Turrican 2? Why? I do love the addition of a password save system, but isn't it a bit worse otherwise? It's a quite good game for sure, but better than the original?
Anyway, I don't love the first Turrican, but I do like the second one a lot, so just disliking the first game doesn't mean that you will necessarily dislike the second. Probably the best thing is that the second game gets rid of all of the blind jumps, which the first game has some of. Getting rid of them was a badly needed change.
I didn't care for Turrican 2's shmup levels, which Universal Soldier axes in favor of original levels. That's the major difference between the two, besides the passwords and the addition of an easy mode. Well, and the controls are a bit better on the Genesis.
Oh right, on Amiga and C64 you have to use Up to jump, yes? That'd be horrible! Does the PC version at least have a jump button? Also, yeah, Easy mode is nice to have as well, it's a tough game.
