It wasn't necessarily intended as an insult to Final Fantasy 7 and Suikoden 2, but rather I feel there are better games to go by(in general too) than the RPG genre.

You're also kind of doing it again, by insisting people are crazy to not like Rondo of Blood. I could see that happening, easily too. It's the next easiest game after Castlevania IV(funny how the internet seems to go for the easiest ones in this series, isn't it?), and the professional vampire hunter is outshined by a 12 year old girl. If that is soemones opinion, again, they should have the right to it without someone implying they are wrong.

Castlevania IV used to be my favorite non-Metroidvania in the series, purely because of the whip dangling gimmick. I was very disappointed in Bloodlines because it didn't have it, and it felt like a step back. However, as my tastes have matured, I realize that IV is good, but pretty weak compared to just about anything else.

If someone actually pays into Patreon accounts of channels that they like and a channel veers away from what they're interested in, then just stop paying them. If you'd like to encourage someone to continue the kind of content you're interested in, then send them a message. Nothing is gained by publicly complaining, other than grasping at attention for yourself.

I beat FF7 more then 3x. Might of beat Suiko2 twice, my last attempt was a failure, but I still like the game a lot. However Panzer Dragoon Saga I lost interest by the last disk. I'm sure I'll give it another try as a Saturn fan, but I'm not going to blindly praise it just because it's on the Saturn. That and I enjoy StHA & SF3 a heck of a lot more then PDS, so maybe trying to play PDS after + combined with the hype train that it is, is why it didn't live up to me.

I might be one of them too. Not sure, so don't quote me on it. And though I like all pre SotN Castlevania games, Rondo seems pretty overrated to me. Wished the PSP remake did more with it.

yeah, i've often lamented this too, but everything ive read says good ol' Dave Halverson takes an active interest in keeping scans offline...gotta love that he's still shitting on that legacy, haha

Yeah there was a guy named Nick Rox who always talked about how much the Saturn was lacking. Or at least I think that was his name.

I think I have the entire collection of Sega Visions magazine -- I wonder if I could get someone to scan that in digital format for me at work. It would calm everyone down to read the bias Sega magazine. :)

Don't bother, all 25 Sega Visions magazines have been scanned already, I got them right here actually.

Got them from a bigass Retromags usenet dump a couple years ago.

If you're going to legitimize the story elements of an alternate mode in Dracula X, then Castlevania IV is ruined by Paula Abghoul and Fred Ascare.

Barring the disbelief you seem to have about my question, Do I not have the right to state that I'm a serious RPG fan? Not once did I say the N64 was a bad system but compared to the Super Nintendo's line up of quality RPGs which is and still one of my favorite genres, the N64 was very dry compared to the options I had on the Playstation of the games "I" wanted to play. I love platformers, Shumps, RPGs, action games among other things but, the N64 only had some of those games I wanted while the majority of the other titles I liked were on other systems. So yeah when ABF said that the N64 Library's line up is better then the PSX then he should state that to "him" it's better for him instead of making a broad statement like everyone else shares the same taste in games he does.

And seriously, being a moderator has nothing to do with anything in this discussion.

Truthfully while I enjoyed FFVII, I was more into the niche obscure titles for the PlayStation.
