Ugh, I was talking about the Sega Genesis commercials. I too couldn't stand the Saturn ones.

Good point. I'm 40 and like the series but I'm definitely an exception.
I meant no offense, but I was under the impression that the series has always been geared toward younger gamers. That said, I get what you're saying, but I've heard people say "broze" in place of "brothers" when a game title uses the abbreviation "bros." since we were on the playground in the 80s and early 90s discussing the Super Mario games. I think that most educated people understand that "bros." is an abbreviation, but surely there are some who mistakenly read it verbatim.
I still sometimes read it verbatim. Doesn't matter to me.
Super Smash Brehs
Well, it is called Smash Bros (or Broze) if you prefer, it kinda rolls off the tongue better.
In the UK, people use the alternate titles Smash Bruvs or Smash Fam.
Yeah just kidding, although if Nintendo wanna hip with the kids they should call the next one #SuperOnFleekSmashSquad. Hashtag and all.
Now I wish there was a game called Smash Bruvs full of classic UK-made characters like Armakuni (Last Ninja), Drax (Barbarian), Aarbron (Shadow of the Beast), the IK fighters, Lazy Jones, Jet Set Willy, Lemmings, the Super Pipeline dudes, Headus and Footus (Head Over Heels), etc..
They updated it with the new version. It's the same sound now.
VIII still doesn't sound right, but it was close enough in the first place, and most people don't realize it.
FFIX came out recently. FFX/X2 HD Remaster comes to Steam in 2 days. Lunar was in the SteamDB leak.
Praise Gaben. Playstation is becoming irrelevant.
Lunar Silver Star Story had a PC release in Japan and South Korea if I remember correctly. It's probably that. Now if it releases in English it will be interesting to see if it's a new translation or if they somehow were able to get Working Design's translation into it.
Yeah, it completely bypasses the MIDI files and plays streams of the PS1 music. Back in the 90's though the closest you could get was if you had a Roland SC-88. And even that wasn't perfect. The standard MIDI libraries you had then or that came with the game just sounded like crap.
It most certainly is not close enough:

There is a fan made mod that basically ignores the MIDI output and plays MP3s of the PS1 soundtrack, but it can be a bit odd to install from what I remember.
Grandia was with Lunar.

Grandia 2 on Steam was actually a new port from Dreamcast, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the PSP verison of Lunar Silver Star Harmony released, despite the old Japanese Windows version.
It depends on how lazy the developer is. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they go for the Japanese PC version since it would have better quality FMVs. Grandia II was such a mess on PC and PS2 originally that they probably felt it was necessary to report it.
was Lunar: SSH the not-so-good port, or am i thinking of another one?
