also: didnt yet see the retboot one, but for this SNES one: are they capturing it a bit different now? biker mice from mars looks a bit cleaner than usual

I don't know how you capture any of these consoles without upscaling. I have a capture device that works fine with my Dreamcast (S-Video) and Gamecube (Component), but won't do jack shit with the SNES or N64 using S-Video. I ran into an issue with capturing Gunlord the other day though; I'm guessing it's because the image might not be 640 x 480.Quote:

yeah, see i know fuckall about capturing, but that sounds like what i've heard - Mzo (here @ sega16) says the same, that s-vid is about as good as he can capture. why exactly is RGB so hard, is it that our equipment out here isnt often built for the format?Quote:

But I always emulate SNES in S-Video filter these days (with some further cleaning like removing artifacts & colour fringing and adding some scanline).
SNES looks very nice via S-video. That's what I run.
I currently have the SNES hooked through S-video.

I had an HD set that did not like the s-video from the snes. It would show only in black and white. The TV had no problems with other consoles with s-video though. And likewise, an old SDTV showed the snes s-video just fine.Quote:

Good to see they finally gave WDC some coverage; too bad Dave has no idea how to play the game.
I also enjoyed the coverage of The Adventures of Batman & Robin. There's always a few little details I discover every time this game is presented.
