Great show, guys. I recently came across your videos on YouTube and I've enjoyed watching them. I love all the funny sound effects and the great in-depth reviews. I have been working on my own game-reviewing YouTube show as well, but of course, i'm just starting out with this kind of stuff. Great work on Game Sack, and I look forward to many more awesome episodes!
New episode:
The CDI guy is gonna ask for his episode again.
Geez those were some nice SMB clips.
Nice episode. Gamecube isn't exactly my favorite system, but I am pretty fond of it and I think it gets a lot of unfair derision.
Too bad you guys didn't show off Gotcha Force. Really fun game that one is and it uses a modified Gundam VS engine too (since Capcom made the engine for the series all the way up to Gundam VS Gundam NEXT). Should also note that the GameCube did get Capcom VS SNK 2 EO which kinda covers both the Street Fighter and KoF segments. I love the GameCube and it's def one of my most favourite consoles of all time (along with its fantastic controller).
Wow, this was an awesome episode. And quite topical, for several of us...
Dave: Was this the Nintendo brand 1019-block memory card that corrupted? I had all my GC saves on one of these cards and it did the same thing to me. I was told that, for whatever reason, this particular card was prone to corruption.
Yes! It is the 1019 card. I was so mad booting every game and finding all my save files corrupted.
I try to avoid those super size storage cards for consoles. I had a Mad-Catz card for my Dreamcast that kept going bad with NFL2K. I ended up using a VMU instead.
I use the 251 block memory cards for the GC. They've been pretty reliable.
I thought I was being vey efficient when I consolidated all my game saves to a single Nintendo brand card. A few years back, I finally tracked down MGS Twin Snakes and was horrified to find that not only was I unable to save my progress on the game I had just purchased, I had also lost the save files to about 20 other games. And I was close to panicked when it dawned on me that I wasn't sure how I was going to find a replacement card.
Another great episode! Recently played some Beach Spikers (love those tender hugs at the end of each match - also a much better game than DOA Beach Volleyball) and Phantasy Star Online. I also took Burnout 2 for a spin, but really couldn't get into the old style Burnout game play mechanics, after being so used to the more recent Burnout games.
Whats next guys? How about an episode on RPGS?
RPG episode will come eventually. It just takes so long to play through them to gather footage and collect our opinions on the game as a whole.
How about an episode on games that look terrible on the outside, but are pure awesome on the inside. Games you never wanted to play when they first came out because they didn't catch your eye, then you found out years later that the game is spectacular and you ruined your childhood (or otherwise) by passing on it.
