Is it me or is Classic Super Sonic slower than normal Classic Sonic? Not liking the ring consumption either - it's goes WAY too fast. Hopefuly, Sega patches it.
So what is the Zone you guys consider the most difficult/frustrating? For me, I'd have to say Classic Planet Wisp. God, it got annoying at some parts. I'll have to play through it again now that I know the level layout and know how to use the Wisps properly.
@theSonicretard: I think you're right. Shame they screwed up on that. @Cornholio: Modern Planet Wisp has a different variant of Wisp; not as frustrating as the Classic level's, but in the later part of the Act, well, you're see ;). The trickiest stage for me; at first, Classic Crisis City (god that remix is a-w-e-s-o-m-e). The tornado ripping away the Robotnik Sign and then having to jump car to car had me raging for a good half hour.
It seemed perfectly serviceable to me, it didn't really strike me at any point that analog control would make it easier/better BUT at the same time I haven't played the game with analog controls at all. :) So I can't really comment on it much besides the fact that you can complete the entire game with a Saturn pad (and get some damn fine ranks/stage times).
I will definitely be playing it with the Saturn pad then. That thing can handle almost everything outside of modern First Person Shooters.

Is the PC version download only?
LOL
Classic levels are almost dead on.
Modern levels take the good stuff from Sonic Colors and make it even better.
Even beyond the speed not being what it should be, I think the ring consumption is what kills it. The stages in this game aren't normally loaded with rings in the first place, but the countdown speed makes it damn near impossible to stay super. Then modern goes a step further and actually dings you at double the rate when you boost. That's so balls.
Too bad we can't equip the electric shield as Super Sonic.
Boosting draws rings to you if you time it right; it's not as affective as the electric shield, though. I think as it stands now, Super's useless, though tbh, I don't think he'll ever be fixed.
I'm actually really enjoying this game.
Best sonic game in years.
