You know that you can't play the game unless you're connected to Xbox Live and you have so many days until you can play it - guess what; I've found a way to play it past these restrictions.
The trick is turn the console without going online at all; if the clock is set to it's default date/time of 2005; you can play the demo offline and you get no "you have XX days left to play" crap.
Both Classic and Modern Sonic's data is in the Demo. More than likely, after Classic's expires Modern's will be available.Quote:

I love it how this game isn't even out yet and there's already a hack! The fan community is awesome that way!
The demos expired; hitting Start at the title screen now only loads the trailer. I'm gonna try and see if that 'trick' I posted a few pages back still works...

It still works!
To still play the demo on a retail, non-modded 360, do the following:
1. Make sure the console hasn't been turned on in at least 15 mins and turn OFF/unplug your router.
2. Turn on the 360 and select the demo (be sure to set you're Clock in Console Settings to adjust via Xbox Live; so it should read "22nd November 2005" for this to work).
3. The title's message should read "Play the Demo@ instead of "This demo has expired" - press Start and Green Hill should load up.
This is real, I'm not pulling anyone's leg. Enjoy! :)
Is there a bonus stage at the end? I keep loosing my rings on this game, and I never had that issue with the other 2D Sonic games on the Genesis.

There is no indication that the console version has special stages. I would not expect it at all.

Playing off of nostalgia to sell terrible games is a fairly popular fad these days.
I'm hoping the S2 Egg Mech is just one of the bosses out of a Multi-Boss Battle. Ex: S2 Egg Mech leading up to S3&K's Doomsday Zone battle. That would make for a great final level.
I hope the Silver the Hedgehog boss battle in the Sonic 06 level has eleven parts!
