They hacked the PS3 and 360 demo and fixed rolling, and that's probably ten times harder than fixing the PC versions. Maybe not though.
Quick Time Events meaning you have to quickly bounce off an enemy or spring to get to a lot of routes and you only get one try. So no, not trolling.
It's good, epic trolling, because QTE means when a button flashes on the screen you need to press it before it goes away.
You have your own custom version of a definition that only you know.
That's why it's trolling.

The rolling was very un-Soniclike and I really don't think I even want to bother palying with new Sonic.
Rolling will be most likely hacked in the supposed Steam version.

When I take my time to S rank Sonic Unleashed, and become the fastest Sonic CD player, I was the opposite of disgusted.
When you take the time to perfect yourself at a good game, you become more pulled in to what the game really has to offer.
Sonic Adventure 2 disgusted me by the time I got S ranks as well. It was the beginning of the Sonic Cycle for me...and I thought Sonic Heroes would be the triumphant return. Instead, after buying that game, I returned it, and swore off the series forever.
Thankfully my friend gave me Sonic 2006 and Sonic Unleased Wii for free.
2006 of course sucked, but I enjoyed the story and opening cutscene enough to dredge through it.
Sonic Unleashed HD was even better than the Wii version.
Sonic Unleashed revitalized the series for me, but Sonic Colors and Sonic 4 were let downs.
Sonic Colors was shallow, slow, and S ranking again made me disgusted. Sonic 4 is self explanatory.
Sonic Generations looks like it will combine a slightly worse version of Sonic CD, with a slightly worse version of Sonic Unleashed.
I hope when I'm done with it, I'll find the modern game play to be better than Unleashed's, but given Sonic Teams track record, I'll be happy with "nearly as good".
I already did a speed run of the demo, finished in 42 seconds. I would thoroughly enjoy S ranking Sonic Generations, as I enjoyed S ranking Sonic Unleashed's day levels oh so much.
A/S ranking is not fun, never has been, and never will be. Score and Time leaderboards are sufficient.
