Yeah, yeah, it's a Sega forum, but anyways...
My SNES only outputs a black screen when I turn it on with a game inside. I haven't used it for like 6 years, and the last time I did, everything was fine. It went straight into a box along with my other old consoles. My Genesis was together with it and it works perfectly.It's only a black screen, no sound, no flashes of any kind, just black.I remembered it just being a black screen, but my test now showed electrical noise and horizontal lines. What could it be?
Also, it's not a damaged cartridge, as I've tested it with my whole SNES collection (about 6 carts) and none worked.
