Also, some of the Scrying-visions in Clive Barkers "Undying" were pretty creepy.
I agree the first Silent Hill, I remember playing that late one night with headphones on. I opened a door, screen goes black, just as the game comes back the sound of smashing glass made me near shit myself lol!
I found the crypt in Landstalker to be another creepy place. Mostly because of music.
I agree with Silent Hill and some areas in Resi Evil were spooky of course,Doom 3 and Omikon-The Nomad Soul (DC) are as creepy as hell in places, AVP on the Jag is worth a mention too especially playing with the lights off-imagine playing as the marine you finaly get the key card,you are low on ammo and you open the door to discover a corridor filled with alien eggs and sticky stuff and then hear "ANYTIME!........" from the corridor within.
The Machine in Ecco is quite eerie, but the most spooky feeling I ever got from a game was in the Man's Nightmare levels in Ecco: Defender of the Future. Especially the Shrine of Controversy, it feels really melancholy.
Anybody else think the Minus World from Super Mario Bros. is creepy? You just keep swimming and swimming fully aware that you will die when the timer runs out and there's nothing you can do about it.
Both of The Suffering games give me the willies.

The underground lab in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was probably the creepiest locale in a game, ever.
The Underground Laboratory in Panzer Dragoon Saga was definitely one of the more spooky locales in video games that I've played. Very creepy place.
And while it's a game that I cherish on the Genesis, there's no doubt that this one can get creepy:

Alien Crush on TG-16 was really creepy too for a pinball game. Hell, it was pretty creepy in general.Quote:
