BTW genesis could also ran in 512X256 resolution i read that somewhere.But heck i own the Pc engine and love it for what it does,the system may not be the greatest but its actually quit good Joe do you have a 512 colors picture of TG16 or something to make me happy?.Lets get back to the subject aside from my craziness.

Why didn't the Dreamcast battery RAM save? Because it was a pain, because you HAD to replace the battery, because it was a bad idea and the invention of memory cards made it an inferior method of saving games.
Of course battery RAM saves can't replace memory cards but it does mean you have a cheap place to store saves of little importance like games your renting or borrowing . It also means out of the box you can save games and don't have to worry about memory cards till a)you need more space or b)after a year or so when you should be thinking of backing up important saves.Quote:

My Dreamcast has the DreamKey modem & connection settings saved internally, so I guess there must be a tiny amount of flash RAM in there somewhere.
Sad thing is, many games don't recognise that I've set up my Dreamcast to access the Web through something other than Dreamarena. I'm using Aardvark as a free dial-up ISP, using DreamKey 3 - Daytona USA 2001 won't let me select the 'HOMEPAGE' option (yes I know it won't work, it's the principle that counts).
Daytona USA sucks online. It almost always disconnected. Ah hell most of those DC games disconnected unless you were using broadband, but not too many games recognize that. :(
I never did get a full game of Worms World Party. PSO was stable until some muppet thought that PK or NOL was the aim of the game. Chu Chu & Quake were pretty stable as well. I think that's all the online games us Europeans got, we were shafted real bad.
Uh, online capabilities were pretty much universal - the European Dream Key software is simply a translation of the Japanese Dream Passport software, for example. I can't think of a game that had Internet capabilities removed between regions.Quote:
