Still no answer to my main question.
That's a hell of a hard question to estimate an answer to. The only thing I can really say is that you're gonna need a lot of $$$.
I know it's impossible to tack down exactly, so let me rephrase:
1) Under $1,000?
2) 1,000+?
3) $2,000-$5,000?
4) $5,000+?
US currency.
Under a thousand dollars, but do not expect to get everything all at once.
Your insane to have the Saturn version of Sim City 2000. The pc version is far better and runs on current and older PC's. Japan House of the Dead is far more common and it does work with the US Stunners, so if you want to save some $$$
A thousand bucks stretched out over several years doesn't sound so bad.
I've spent around $600 in five years?
Any other comments about the game selection? I'm shooting for an 'ultimate collection', minus Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, and all the pricey (non-Action) RPGs, since I very much dislike them.
And like I said, David, I'm wanting to take on the Saturn as a long-term collecting hobby to the exclusion of other systems. (Including Genesis - I'm pretty much satisfied with my collection there.) Think of this as preliminary research for a grand campaign that will take me into my thirties. :p
Good list for the most part...Quote:

US Crusader: No Remorse (supposedly. this is one of the few I haven't played)
US Die Hard Trilogy
US Manx TT Superbike (not terrible, but pretty lame)
US Myst (fuck Myst.)
EU Riven: The Sequel to Myst (see above)
US Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (great game, but not the best version)
Also, get US Galactic Attack instead of JAP Layer Section. This is one of the few cases that the US version is more common and uber cheap.
The following games are fun and should be on your list:
US Blazing Dragons (humorous adventure game)
US Clockwork Knight and Clockwork Knight 2
US D
US Decathlete (Track & Field / Summer Games in 3D)
EU Deep Fear
JAP Detana Twinbee Yahho-! Deluxe Pack (a two-pack of Fantasy Zone esque shooters)
JAP Digital Dance Mix (not exactly a "good game", but it's interesting enough)
JAP DJ Wars (complex music game, if you like that sort of thing)
JAP Elevator Action Returns
US Enemy Zero
US Grid Runner
US Horde, The
JAP Jung Rhythm (blatant Parappa clone, but a good one)
EU KEIO Flying Squadron 2
US Last Bronx (one of the best 3D fighters ever IMO)
US Lunacy
US Mass Destruction
US NBA Jam T.E. (possibly the best version in existence)
US Norse by Norsewest (the incredible sequel to The Lost Vikings)
US Skeleton Warriors
US Slam n' Jam '96 (in the same vein as NBA Jam, but different)
US Solar Eclipse
JAP Stellar Assault SS (sequel to Shadow Squadron)
JAP Strikers 1945
JAP Super Tempo (extremely different from the original)
US Tempest 2000 (a superb classic)
US Three Dirty Dwarves (how could you leave this out?)
US Tunnel B1 (not as good as Nanotek Warrior, but still fun)
US Winter Heat (Winter Games in 3D)
US Worldwide Soccer '97 (I actually prefer it to '98)
US X-Men: Children of the Atom
There are lots more I could recommend, but you can just get back to me when you get through these. :p
Be sure to get whichever Capcom Generation has Ghouls N Ghosts on it. That's the only one you need.
Why the Saturn versions on Myst and Riven? The pc versions are FAR better and common. Same with Sim City 2000 and Sonic 3D Blast, which is even on the Genesis and FAR better there.
Do you really have an old 486 or something?
IBM compatible PCs have no collectible value, I had to garbage alot of my Dos games because I couldn't find a buyer as the system has always been plagued with bootlegs and with no fanbase for the platform few would care if you have a boxed copy of Sim City 2000 as they would just say "so, I downloaded that game years ago"Quote:

Because I'm a die-hard Myst fan. But they're not very high on my list.
Thanks for the recommendations, J-Factor.
Isn"t Stellar Assault really expensive? Like more expensive than Radiant Silvergun?
I'm not looking at the collection aspect for those games. The playablity AND price for those games.
If you want Doom that badly.... just go to walmart, buy the ultimate doom collection or get the WAD files from the internet or something. Tons better on the PC and the Japanese version, although a LOT better can catch $40+
Yeah its not important how many, its important how many good, but yes i know Saturn has many nice game but be willed to pay the price, sengoku blade etc Gunbird Doa resi evel Tomb raider and many more enough to keep you enjoyed but some of them have a bitsy large price tag, but if you want to play em you have to pay em.
