Arcus Odyssey needs more love.

Subjectively, the best hardcore game for the SEGA Genesis.

I agree. And the red head with the whip is awesome.

I'm a big fan of this game as well. Definitely underrated.

There are a few things that just goddamn rock about Arcus Odyssey:

1) The opening cutscene, especially that 3D effect.
2) The music, especially the character select screen and the quiet watery cave theme.
3) The trippy character design and charmingly awkward translations.
4) The character art.

Fantastic game, but so hard! Later levels are just nuts.

Love this game! And yeah, the later levels are a pain. Especially going up the large building and having to fight a boss each level. Took me a few tries, but well worth the victory.

I have much love for it, but I don't think it's underrated. There's a reason why it's so darn expensive.

Now, Technoclash. That's underrated. Both games having equal value in my eyes. :)

I really wanted to like the game. The problem is the maze like levels and the no memory that you have been thru zones leading to your death.

Yeah. I rated this game as one of my 5 "stuck on a desert island with a Genesis and 5 games." Either one player or two, this game is a good time.

I enjoyed it enough to remix the ending theme a few years back...
