Sega Neptune & Sega Cd2 Multibios modded Combo....

Not to be confused with other neptunes advertised around here :p ...

I was commissioned to do one a couple of weeks ago, but I put together two while at it, so here it is...

Features: cooling fan, heatsinks, sliding region switches, 32X cart dust covers, white cool LED's, AV jacks and S-video output (super clean amd crispie s-video, I installed an additional RGB encoder for it)... Enjoy all of your 32X, Genesis and Sega CD games in s-video mode...



Compatible with Sega Cd systems (see below)..Plays the entire US American 32X collection (yes I own it :ok: ) and yes, plays Super Street Fighter II and Super Street Fighter II "The New Challengers" just fine ;) ....

It comes with a modded multibios Sega CD2 system, plays all regions with all of the original Sega CD/Mega CD bios with a switch (not Arakon's multbios)...

Nice job. How's the sound on the Genesis 2 now that it's been modded? Also, any vertical line issues with the S-video?

Nice work, but any idea on how much would be a fair price for something like this?

Just wanted to say that this looks very slick, the holes for the fan are almost unnoticeable and go very well with the rest of the Genesis' design.

That's a VA3 Genesis 2, which is in need of no mods to achieve good sound. It's like a pre-VA7 Genesis Model 1 with slightly less bass and considerably less quantization noise due to the use of a modified ASIC variant of the Yamaha YM3438.

I'm really digging what you did with the 32X logo; for the first time, I actually wish I had a Model 2.

I have a question about those Neptunes: can you still use the PBC and the Everdrive to play SMS, or do you lose that functionality?

Just like any other normal Genesis/32X system setup, there is no compatibility with either the Master System converter or Virtua Racing, sadly...Sega's engineers themselfs weren't able to overcome this issue (cheaply)...

I can vouch for the amazing quality of his work. I got my neptune from ooXxXoo, very similar to the one listed here and the thing is simply awesome.
