And to be fair, they really don't give two shits about old console games. I also doubt any sane person would pay more than 5k for this title.

I also doubt there's a rich man out there who favors the genesis enough to spend a million. Also to the guy who selling the tetris, WHEN ARE YOU GONNA LOWER THE PRICE!?
Realistically this game for sale is one of a kind. There is no other like this in the whole world. Know why?
1) First of all it's tetris for megadrive. Rare as hell and expensive as a ford mustang. Very few ppl in the world even have it. And you need to own it actually. In order to own it: You need to have a) 10k euros+ b) know where to find a copy at all. While teh first is not easy for most videogame bums the second is even harder.
2) Secondly it's signed by the creator of the Tetris. How hard is it to acquire this signature? Ok first of all Pajitnov lived and worked in Spain, Barcelona for a lot of time in mid 200x. So you need to a) either live there or b) make a flight there just to get in touch with the man. c) get in touch with Pajitnov and make him sign the game. Easier part i guess but who knows, ALexey is a busy programmist. Who knows where to catch him. I think in order to do this you need to actually live in Spain to get in touch.
So overall it ain't easy task you see? And the probablity that any other signed tetris exists is zero. So yes, it's worth gazillions.
I gave him a serious offer and he declined it but said how much he wanted (at least) for it. But I don't even have that money.
What was the price he quoted?
Pardon me, but with respect for the guy, I can't reveal it. Give him a serious offer and he might tell ya, like he did to me.
And the fact is even 30k pounds were rejected by him. Is he mad?
For a million bucks, you'd at least think he'd give the buyer a jerk-down.
Likely someone is screwing with him.
You've got to be kidding! If it's true, I'd like to meet the man who coughed up the million buckaroos!Quote:
Sold For: US $1,000,000.00
Another auction has appeared from the same seller:

Sorry, I missed the previous page of this discussion...
*facepalm*
Oh, would you look at that. It's the exact same copy being sold by the exact same guy for the exact same amount it allegedly went for the last time. :?

This is fun.
It could also mean the buyer didn't cough up the cash (came to their senses, bogus bid, etc.), and it got relisted.
What is wrong with letting the market dictate these prices? I don't think this game would go over 10K if the bidding was set at 1 dollar.
