Introduce Yourself!

Greetings everyone,
I recently found out about this site through looking up information on the upcoming Genesis game, Pier Solar, which I also recently found out about. I've been a big Sega fan for the greater part of my life. After the Genesis, the Dreamcast would probably have to be my favorite system.

I also enjoy history (majored in it) and Lego as a hobby. Sometimes I get to meld the two together, like I did with my Lego Civil War battlefield.

Being a big Shenmue fan, I also had to render the Hazuki residence in brick.

Can you make a Sega Genesis/Sega CD/32x out of Legos? Preferably Model 1 Genesis (HD model, please) and Model 2 Sega CD (trying to make it as big as possible).

Thanks. Taking on such a project would be quite doable in Lego. I know someone who made an NES an opening cartridge port (he'll be in an upcoming issue of Nintendo power, if not the current one). I think it would be cool to make one. There are a large number of parts available in black, and black is a common color. And there a plenty of new curved parts, which is good, because these systems are filled with them. You wouldn't necessarily need to make the model huge to get a good likeness, though the area around the Model 1's cartridge port would be tricky, as would the controllers.

I'd like to say I would get on that right away, but I don't have too much time now or the money to get too many new parts (I'm waiting on Prince of Persia sets). I can put it on the ever growing "to-do" list. ;)

Howdy all. I heard about this place over on DP and decided to check it out. Im from Midland, TX and work in insurance. I'd say that the Genesis is probably my favorite retro console or at least the one I have the fondest memory of. I've been a gamer most of my life so I've been around the block a bit. Hey there everyone, I'm a long time lurker and decided to make an account to get more involved. I'm a Sega fan and collector, its what I grew up with as a kid. Just recently I bought a Laseractive with the PAC-S10 module, so I've been having fun with that. I'm in college studying Archaeology, almost done. Tbh, I don't do much modding nor even own a Megadrive anymore, but i'm looking into the possiblity of buying another one, and this site should prove a helpful resource on getting the best model, controllers, games etc. (thanks to this site I just discovered Ristar 15 years late, haha).

Hi my names devon, I was raised a nintendo guy but decided i liked sega better, i got a genesis for 5 bucks at a flea market in 1998 then in 1999 i was one of the first to get a dreamcast. I also prefer macs to pcs and have a 2006 macbook white and a 2.8ghz pentium 4HT hackintosh. I also have a mastersystem, game gear thats almost dead from capacitors, a saturn and the black dreamcast along with 4 model 1 genesis

I had a Genesis as a kid and played the hell out of it before selling it off when I moved out of the house. About four years ago I started collecting for it again, but mainly on the Megadrive(JP) side of the house.
