What are resume and auto save?

Also, the only reason I'd ever want to touch the screen is when I am punching it because my OS sucks.

Resume is that thing where if you quit safari and reopen it, it loads the last page opened, preview loads up whatever photos you last had opened too. If you close the windows though, resume won't occur.

Autosave. In lion, make a text file in TextEdit, save it. Make a change and quit TextEdit without saving, reload that file, look at how your changes were made without your permission!

Such a minimalistic upgraded. Its insane to honestly think this is wrote from the ground up for features that add up to be nothing more than useless extras.

Actually the "new" autosave doesn't overwrite your work, it doesn't autosave, it auto-copies. The old version wasn't deleted, it simply opens the last save 'it' did instead of the last save you did, but you can still access it.

First time since 2003 where I've honestly felt I had nothing to gain from a Mac OS upgrade. I'll be sticking with Snow Leopard until I get my next machine.

Lion, looks like the ipad's IOS, which has the simplicity I want, so, this is the type of system I need, better than leopard, which is a good thing, better is quicker, more functional and appealing, however the drop support for older systems sucks indeed.

Lion is not quicker, in fact many graphic cards lag with it. Not sure why as it is graphically unappealing.

I liked the older, "gayer" look more. New one looks like a cheap Gtk+ Aqua knockoff.
New scrollbars just suck.

Don't worry, Windows 8 only has the new stuff as the start menu. The regular old desktop/taskbar is still right there.
