Umm... not to be rude or anything, but Neptunes don't exist except for a few prototypes that might be floating around on eBay. If you really want a prototype Neptune, be prepared to fork over a couple thousand dollars. Though, I'm sure someone could make you one. Someone on here has probably already made a couple.
There are No functional prototypes of the Neptune in existence, so far as anyone knows. I'm pretty sure the OP just wanted someone to build one. I've been working on an improved method, but the project is on hold while I plough through a few other long overdue projects.
Pretty sure that was "segakid101", iirc.
It probably is, and this thread should be a WTB thread in Sonic's Bazaar.
Personally, considering the degree of modding required to make a Neptune, I don't think they should be sold to just anyone. I'd hate to see someone break or throwaway a nicely modded Genesis + 32X for whatever reason. The practice should stay among people who actually give a damn about Mega Drive. There's far too many people out there who don't.
Well, I'm pretty sure anyone who would drop the $200-300 a good modder charges for a Neptune would probably be a Genesis fan :D
I would say so. I'm doing one now for someone and I charged far too little for it in retrospect.
I got my Sega CD in the mail today, and stood there for a second looking at my power strip with three AC adapter blocks in my hands. $200 for a custom Neptune is worth it.
That said, I agree that this is the White Neptune guy trying to get something to resell, in which case you should probably get cash upfront Lastcallhall.
