That's good to hear, it really was a minor PITA to fit everything together when doing the AV mod. I'm thinking of doing a region free Core Grafx next.

Should I really be worried? (not sarcasm)
Is having that pin grounded really detrimental to the system? I figured it was pretty safe seeing as how Japanese PC-E's need this for compatibility.
All Tomaitheous said was your mod (or some other part of the system) is to blame for your non-functioning PC-Engine games, because the one grounded pin normally does not do anything on the TG16.
JP games worked fine on my TG16 after I installed BlueBMW's switch PCB. :)
The reason I picked this TG16 to mod was because it was a dead rental unit & in really bad shape when I got it. (I really think it had a 2 liter of pop spilt on it & was used as an ashtray)
So I gave it a new fuse & one hell of a cleaning. 10 years later it is the ugliest TG16 in my collection so I figured I would mod it & if I killed it not that big of a deal.
Now to show off what Guntz and this thread inspired me to do. I originally intended to do an AV and region modded TG16 like Guntz, but I got a little carried away.
In the front, it appears to be an innocent, normal Turbografx 16 CD setup.

But lo, what do we have in the rear?

The TG16 has a region mod switch (using BlueBMW and thesteve's chip) and AV jacks! And the Turbo CD dock has an AV port on it now that takes both regular Duo/Core Grafx composite AV cables, or more importantly, outputs a beautiful RGB picture! I already had an RGB modded Duo R, but I must say that the new setup looks a lot better than the Duo. I modded the dock itself mostly because if I had modded the TG16 only I would not have CD audio out of the AV port.
The way I did the AV mod was I pulled the RGB and composite lines from the expansion connector of the dock, and the audio lines from the PCB that connects the audio jacks. I then used a RGB scart cable from http://www.retro-access.com/ (aka pcenginegamesales) that has a built in amp, and the quality is pretty much perfect. The cord is kind of short though, I should have asked him to add a few feet to the cable.
Big thanks to BlueBMW for helping me out with the region mod and providing me with a Turbo CD, pcenginegamesales for giving me the idea for the RGB mod since I didn't want to build an amp, and Guntz for the inspiration!
Wow! That's a very spiffy rig you have there! It makes my TG16 look like kids stuff by comparison...

Going by your post, it sounds like the RGB signals have no internal amplifier... You may have to add in an amp if ever you get a new cable, or sell this system.
The Turbo CD doesn't have an internal amplifier, no. The scart cable has the amp built into the scart plug, and (surprisingly to me) it's a very good one!
