I used to burn Sega CD/MCD multibios proms myself, until my programmer went bananas :rip: ....
Nice Setup
Would you be willing to provide the file used or point me at the place to download the multi bios? I think it was omp was talking about an eBay seller who would program the chips as well when you bought from them if you provided the file, I'm just not sure on how to test that I've got a proper bios to burn and I'd hate to send them a file I downloaded off the internet, have them program it, install it, and then find out I sent them a bad/incorrect file.

For those with an Everdrive or other flash cart.

Thanks for the info, when I tried to get it a couple months ago the site was down but I was able to get the files from him a bit ago. I'm thinking about getting a batch of the eeproms made, but I can guarantee I'm not going to be tackling this project for a bit :(
I use the Tokotek Mega Cart. Works great on my model 1 Sega CD, except for one game: Thunderhawk (JP).
What kind of games are you guys trying to play?
Waitaminute, every time I write a different region bios with my Everdrive the regular Sega CD version 1 bios comes up or locks up on all of my systems including my non-TMSS Genesis 1. Krikkzz and I troubleshot a bit and he ended up telling me it would have to come through a firmware update on the Everdrive. Did that update happen or am I missing something?
If you make a disc image of your authentic, non-downloaded, Mega CD title there is a program you can use to change the region so that it will play on an American system. That program is mentioned earlier in this thread.
This does not work with all Mega CD games. I was able to get Final Fight CD - Japanese, Ninja Warriors, and a few others to work. However, one game in particular, Sengoku, could not be patched to run on the Sega CD. Even that could be over come by a knowledgeable hacker.
Reasonably certain I read of someone getting Sonic CD - Japanese to work that way.
