All my consoles are unplugged when I'm not playing them. I have no interest in subsidizing the power company, and as others have said, leaving them plugged in creates an opportunity for them to get damaged from a power surge or lightning strike. I don't know how much current a Genesis AC adapter draws with no load, but it's still non-zero.
Are there any consoles that don't draw power when they're not on, but are still plugged in?
Yeah, these kind of Power Supplies do suck back a fair bit of power even when the console is turned off. Just feel them after they've been plugged in for a few days... they're warm! I leave them plugged in unless I don't think I'll be using it for say 3 weeks or more. Something like the SNES or Genesis I might hit up at least once a week I just leave plugged in even though it would be best to unplug.
I unplug everything when I'm done, even the power strips. Power outages are common in PR, and I'll be damned if my Genesis is going to be fried!
It gets warm because it is a stepdown transformer converting voltage from your 120V outlet. There would be very little if any current (load) until you hit the on switch to start playing. Personally, I just hit the switch on my power bar when I'm done playing,
I have both AC adaptors from my MD1+MCD1 in a power regulator, which I turn off and then unplug to avoid any electrical damage to them.
I always unplug them as I am worried about them getting too hot

Gotta unplug them! I'm not gonna subsidize the utilities, and I've got a furnace if I want to turn up the heat.
I leave them plugged in but I have a power strip which I turn off instead. Still saves just as much energy that way.
I keep the systems that I use the least unplugged, but the ones I use often enough are always plugged in. If I only had a couple of systems they would always be plugged in, so I guess I have to vote that way.
I unplug mine, my japanese mega drives PSU buzzes (but oddly in Japan it does NOT buzz).
