After much thought, i'd have to say that Edward Randy is probably one of my favorite arcade games, and also one that receives very little attention.
The PCB has 2 FM synthesizers and 1 PSG, and the result is pure joy to the ears: HuC6280, YM2203 ,YM2151. You can hear the 6280 in some of the music!
As a BIG fan of 80s arcade games, there are three which I think don't get enough credit:

Three of my favorite arcade games, and they can't be ported properly because they use special types of controls :( Awesome-looking cabinets too, I love playing these in the arcades :D

Tempest may be on a lot of all-time greats list, but you just don't see it get the recognition that the other greats like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Centipede, Galaga, Asteroids, Star Wars, etc. Heck, Tron even made it to KLOV's Top Ten List. I stumbled upon this game on Youtube and played it on MAME. It's a pretty cool shooter.
