I hated it as a kid. Now I think its a pretty awesome movie
I was too young to catch the jokes when it first came out seeing I wasnt even 13 and it was a pg13 movie
Whats up with early to mid 90s movies all being set in some weird Mario Bros. The Movie type city, Judge Dredd, 5th Element, Total Recall, Highlander 2, and now The Mask.... all 90s movies, all weird futuristic yet present day yet steam punk type cities
Well I still remember watching it on VHS back in 1998. I still like it to the day.
Yeah, I remember seeing that movie. It was pretty good. Haven't seen it for years.
i remember watching it plenty of times when i was younger. pretty good movie. the Son of the Mask totally sucked though.
They were gonna make a sequel, but we never got it at the end. :(
Yeah that was a complete fuck you in the face of the original movie. It sucked so badly..
One of my favorite childhood movies, still enjoy it today.

I watched this one over and over back in the day. It is the only movie that I like that has that blonde chick from all of those goofy comedy romance movies. That might have something to do with duct tape though.
In my personal opinion some of the greatest movies of all time came out in the mid 90s

Demolition Man was another one
I saw Demolition Man on TV for what I believe was the 10th time. It's a pretty good movie, the question is, Would you like the world to be like that in 2032?

I want it, it just came out on bluray, DEMOLITION MAN that is, another all time favorite
too bad the game is so difficult to play on emulator due to needing a joy to key program to use a controller, makes the lethal enforcer type shooting scenes HELL to control the cursor

All I remember about The Mask was how zany Jim Carrey was in that movie.

For some reason, I quite liked Me, Myself and Irene.
Carrey was good in The Truman Show, but I feel his best work is in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In that film, he (largely) plays a more introverted role than I have ever seen him do, and does so with great finesse, giving a standout performance.
This. She's gotten so emaciated and wiry that it's hard to think she was as gorgeous as she was in The Mask (or in Vanilla Sky - man she was hot in that flick).Quote:
