So, I fired up my little bitty Model 3 for the first time in a while, and forgot to blow out the cartridge slot. When I turn it on with a game in it, I am treated to a blue screen full of what looks like Assembler code, and a message about a problem with the emulator, or some such thing. Would that mean that the Genesis 3 is more or less a higher quality version of the @t games machines?

This sounds like the infamous MK3/UMK3 instruction error screen; though, the Model 3 does have some issues with some games; don't know why though.

Which is ironic, as it runs just fine on my Retrogen.
It happens a few times on my model 2; might happen just after the Sega logo or even hours into the game. The model 3 prob just increases the likely hood of it happening.
This is easy enough - it's 4 screws on the bottom of the casing and another 4 (IIRC) for the RF shield. The word SEGA should immediately be visible once the motherboard is exposed.Quote:

If the video output of your Genesis 3 has too much green and does not show the TMSS screen, it's a fake.
I assure you the Genesis 3 is very real. Through hacking/modding, it has the ability to play 32X, Power Base Converter, and Virtua Racing, unlike AtGames clones, which can't even play Super Street Fighter II
