Darxide for sale on Ebay.......

I have never seen it for sale and didn't think it would be this much.

The game is VERY rare, and Complete in box no less? I wouldn't be surprised if someone said there were only a few hundred copies or less known to exist out there.

Apparently it's factory sealed, hence the high price. The game CIB typically sells between $800 - $1,300. The price isn't too absurd, but the condition of the game aside from it being sealed is not too tempting.

I just saw some gameplay of this game. Seems you do nothing other then shoot meteors.

Yes, but it's "OMG RAER!", a lot of the rarest stuff in the Sega library seems to be low print run 32X games since it was kind of a wash for the most part. Personally, I'm interested in getting a repro of the game, but patched for the US.

Yeah, I fire it up on my Everdrive occasionally, hoping there is something more to do. So far I haven't found anything. It's kinda pretty though.

Why doesnt somebody do a repro of this game? And I remember during the early 2000 this game was going for 150-300 bucks CIB. My my my how the times have changed.

10 years of inflation can do that :)
I'm pretty sure those PS3 copies of NBA Elite that leaked and went for $500 now will be worth thousands in a decade.

I actually just seen a copy for $5000 BIN. Ridiculous

I'm a collector, but I would never pay that much for Darxide. game isn't worth that money outside of rarity. It's asteroids, in 3D.

Yeah, and to be honest, Asteroids on the 2600 is a lot more fun than Darxide, in my opinion. And best of all, Asteroids only costs about a dollar.:)
