True but that didn't stop SoA in regards to Fist of North Star which we all know how that turned out.
Haven't played Yu Yu Hakusho but looks like a blast esp. in 4 player!
I've spent the most time with SFII:SCE (I lived on that when it came out), plus Eternal Champions: CftDS is awesome and loaded with so many fatalities! Genesis Eternal Champions is much more limited, but has a couple great songs & stages.
Also I can't play Weaponlord on Genesis, never tried on SNES but on the Genny I could barely see what was going on; the art and colors got so muddy...
I'd say the best 16-bit fighter is either "Advanced V.G.", or "Kabuki Itouryodan".
Wasnt there another Gundam SFC fighter that came out before Endless Duel ? Hows that one ?
Mitchell, good call with VG.
Gundam looks fine but mechs are bloody boring. So it seems I'm stuck with EC. Eternal Champions is more interesting, looks, and plays better than so many with the advantage of not being an arcade downport. SF2CE lost some panache, and whilst Samurai Shodown had panache to spare the SCD still chopped it up too much though a version with either every character/stage or scaling would've murdered the competition. And by the way EC's not hard!
You people are all misspelling Yu Yu Hakusho.
How hard can it be :p?
Well, Yu Yu Achew is such a great game people aren't focused on the title.
for me street fighter 2 turbo on snes
Super Street Fighter II for either Genesis or SNES. The Street Fighter II series is so taken for granted that people try to think of something other than the obvious choice.
Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition
Not a fighting game in the likes of SF2 and MK, but a fighting game none the less. Not my favorite, but I thought it would be worth mentioning. My favorite however would be MK2 Genesis. The Matt Furnis soundtrack was the deciding factor between the SNES version and Genesis one.
