Laserdisc. @Jackal = CED was a short lived video format created by RCA in the early 1980's. It was okay, but Laserdisc is miles better. There was also a video format similar to CED released only in Japan called "VHD", which was supposed to be almost as good as Laserdisc, but flopped.
