Honestly, they're both extremely versatile (the 9mm is probably the most common handgun round out there, but since the .357 also shoots the very common 38 special, it makes it just as common a round to find as the 9mm). I'd go with the 9mm just for consistency.

Same answer. (A Glock can be "too easy" to shoot. I prefer having a good old .357 magnum with 6 shots single-action/double-action. Anyone can shoot a revolver and not run the risk of shooting themselves accidentally because of their lack of knowledge of firearms.).
