Retrogaming and compilations: Few questions for a project - Older gamers are welcome
Hi guys,
I'm starting a project about creating a fictive business, in the computers department;
I chose to create videogames, and more specifically, retro video-games.
The reasons behind my choices are quite simple: I hope I'm not wrong, but I've read that "the average game player is 37 years old and has been playing games for 12 years.", I hope this information is right.
So since there's more 37 average year-old gamers, I'll be targeting this age group, rather than a younger audience. I do also know that there are many people here who regretted the transition between 2D and 3D.
About my problem, I can't quite decide on which support the fictive company will create their games! For PC? Wii ? iPhone??
I probably have a preference for simply the PC, but is that a good idea? I thought of creating differents compilations of differents 2D game series with different gameplays, characters and stories... But are compilations (On PC?) any succesful ?
Please give me a clue;
I would also appreciate if older gamers would give me their feedback about gaming: you like playing to 2D games that are released just now ? What do you dislike about 3D-Gaming?
Thanks you very much, I appreciate it.
