Not at all. Contra Advance is a solid port of the SNES game, but with the terrible Mode 7 levels replaced by some of the more fun levels from Contra Hardcorps. The GBA does Mode 7 just fine, the developers just realized how terrible the levels in question were.Quote:

It's gotta be the resolution that kills these ports. I've played games like Earthworm Jim on the Retrogen portable and, although the sound is off, the graphics look amazing. It's like the exact opposite of what you would expect from a Game Boy Advance game going into the TV. Putting 16-bit Genesis and Snes games on a portable screen makes them seem 32bit or better. But then again, it must also be the fault of these terrible ports themselves, as games like Super Mario Bros. 3 (advance 4), many RPGs and several other GBA ports have proven. They even improve on their SNES counterparts.
p.s.> I'm still getting over that horrible MK port. I prefer the Game Gear counterparts. :?
