Anyone expecting any classic games for christmas?

My Amiga CD32 recently died, and my girlfriend agreed to split the cost of a new one with me. I've already purchased and am expecting the CD32 to arrive a few days before christmas, but I won't be able to play it until christmas day.

I found a retro gaming shop a few miles down the road and my mom was asking for gift ideas, so I jotted down a couple of cheap games and told her to surprise me. I think, from the clues she dropped, she picked up Megaman X and Castlevania 4 for the SNES for me.

My dad also bought me a couple of Amiga games off ebay which should be in before christmas.

This isn't the first time I've gotten retro stuff for christmas. One christmas, my family got me a bunch of SNK stuff - a neo geo pocket with about 8 games, a AES with a spare joystick and 5 games. Another time, my family got me a bunch of SMS stuff off ebay which I'd been eyeballing for a long while.

Anyone else expecting a retro gaming christmas?

I got mine early, but the wife got me Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion.

Besides the Secret Santa gift on these forums, I won't get any retro games. No one knows what to buy, and you have to drive for 30 minutes to actually get to a game store.

Those participating in the Sega-16 Secret Santa are expecting some nice retro games under the tree this year! :)

I'm in three other Secret Santas this year as well, one of which already occurred and I got Shining Force: Legacy of Great Intention and Shining in the Darkness for Genesis from, so I'm happy to say I've already gotten some retro games this Christmas. Definitely looking forward to seeing any other gifts :D

I'm sort of hoping for one or two of the following, Vampire Master of Darkness on Master System (unlikely), Knight Rider Special, Outrun and Spriggan on PCE, Super Burnout for Jaguar, Taito Chase HQ SCI and X-Men CotA for Saturn.

Man, I recently got Super Burnout for the Jaguar, awesome game. Probably the best Hang-On clone I've played. You're in for a treat if you pick that up.

I'm getting a Dreamcast and a Neo Geo Pocket Color for Christmas. I know this because I bought them online, tested them to make sure everything was fine, and then put them away until Christmas. Unfortunately, I can't be surprised at Christmas with any classic games, because we don't have any second hand stores in my area, and there is no place to buy classic games, let alone classic anything.

I've never recieved nor do I ever expect to get retro vg stuff. I simply don't have any friends or family that share the interest, realize how interested I'm in it, or would know where to look if they did realize it. I haven't gotten a Genesis game for xmas since the early 90s, and all of the retro stuff I have now has come out of my own pockets.

My Amazon wish list has a some retro games on and as the wife has said she has bought things from the wish list I'm expecting a couple of games this Christmas.

As for what I'm getting... Well, Christmas came a bit early in a few places, like that 2600 Jr and a couple more MVS carts to add to my stash (Metal Slug 1 and Samurai Shodown 1). Still plenty left to go though... In fact, pretty much everything I'm receiving this year is game related to my knowledge. Either an actual game, or a machine that can play games, or things vaguely related to games.

We should have an entire thread dedicated to people posting pics of all the stuff they hauled in this year (not just for our Secret Santa). Heck, even this one would work!

I haven't burnt any games other than 1 for the shmup competition in six weeks so on Christmas Eve I'll burn a stack for the morrow. The surprise element will be seeing which actually play.
I might be given a DS game if that's retro yet. Then again I might be given a couple tablets of sodium bichlorate. Tis the season.

If Santa got my letter, there should be a nice, complete copy of Castle of Illusion under the tree this year! And maybe a PlayStation game or two.

It's far too much to expect anyone else to buy me the retro games on my list. Most of the games I've been ending up with lately are the result of months of searching. Also, I'm pretty picky about the game's condition, so it would be pretty unfair for me to expect other people to meet those standards.

That being said, I will definitely be getting some retro games for sale, including (but not limited to) a CIB Mega Man 6 and a handful of CIB Gameboy games (Ducktales, Battletoads, and Ninja Gaiden)

Nothing Retro, I'm just expecting to get an XBOX 360 and Super Mario 3D Land, may be some other 3DS games. I already have 25 games for the XBOX 360 just no console.

My wife and I did Christmas last night and I got a couple retro things from her like a 90's Sonic poster and magnets, plus the (not so retro) Xenoblade Artbook. There's the Secret Santa here and then one on PCEngineFX that I'm doing, so I'm sure I'll get some stuff there but not sure what :)

I did pick up a copy of Kartia for a friend of mine though, we always exchange small random retro gifts though and I never know what he's going to find.
