Your favorite Christmas gaming memory.

For me it was Christmas of 1990. I got Demon Sword, Mega Man 2, and The Adventures of Bayou Billy. Getting just one Nintendo game for Christmas was a big deal for me, so getting three was like...Uber-Christmas!

Another one was that year I finally got a CD-Rom drive for my PC. 1994 I think. My Grandma got me one of those Shareware BBS CDs. Man, more games than I could shake a stick at! I wore that thing out! Now, this was before my area had internet. So having pretty much every shareware game anyone had ever heard of on a single CD was pretty amazing. No more waiting for super-slow downloads off of long distance BBSes to get games.

Christmas 1994, I got a Mega CD, my brother got a 32x. We also got a pair of wireless controllers. We felt like luckiest people on the planet. Tomcat Alley, Jurassic Park (CD), Virtua Racing Deluxe, oh man, that was a good year.

Followed closely by December 1995 when I bought a 2nd hand SNES with my own pocket money, good times with Donkey Kong Country, Mario World, Mario Kart, and Sim City.

This time of year, I often think back to when I played Shenmue on Christmas day. It was pretty cool to hear Jingle Bells playing in the convenience store and seeing guys walking around dressed as Santa.

The second coolest Christmas day memory was getting a copy of Christmas Nights. I need to keep up the tradition and play this game before Christmas day.

Christmas 1993 (or was it 92?). Either way, I got my first model 2 Sega CD, and played the hell out of Sewer shark until I could pick up a few more titles. Best Christmas present ever. :)

Christmas 1994, I got my first Genesis, it was a Model 2 and came with Sonic 2, I also got Ecco the Dolphin, and Super Street Fighter II.

Christmas of '93, opening up the new Game Gear! I still have it, and it's the most prized piece in my collection.

Thanks, but the laser assembly is shot. =P It'll be a shelf ornament until I 1)get some cash to shell out for the parts I need and 2) I recover enough from my surgery to do the repair (or pay to have someone do it for me).

For me: Xmas '93, getting the MDII & Sonic 2 bundle.

Christmas 1983 for me. Dig Dug, Defender, and Omega Race.

The best Christmas ever. Christmas of 1989. Brand new Sega Genesis Model 1 HD with Altered Beast as the pack in. A new copy of Truxton. And a new 25 inch tv to play it on in my bed room. Best. Christmas. Ever.

Christmas 1990 for me. I got Strider for Genesis and I can tell you I made the N6FOUUUUUUUUR Kid blush that day (if he was alive at that point). Once I got up off the floor from profusely thanking my parents for buying a brand new game for probably the only time I took it to my room.

I had recently purchased a 21" Television with Composite inputs and was dying for something that pushed the Genesis beyond what I had played before. Sitting only about four feet from my TV, and having played Strider very recently in the Arcades, I was very very happy with the conversion.

(Got my Genesis on my birthday and not Christmas. otherwise It would've been on that list, heh)
