I played it. It does in fact play a lot like Shinobi III. There are some notable differences like you essentially have infinite kunai, you can throw up to 5 (or 6? I forget) and then they slowly recharge/respawn. It doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense logically but as far as gameplay goes it makes things a bit more fun. And no, it doesn't make the game super easy since a lot of the enemies can block them so you have to try to work them into a combo. Which brings me to - the combat is a little more combo focused than in the original Shinobi games, you have to string attacks together to dispose of most enemies, and since you use different buttons for sword and kunai attacks you can pull off some pretty creative ways to kill things. Overall it feels like a Shinobi game and it is a lot of fun. I played it for about an hour and it's got me thinking I might want to get a 3DS.
