My setup

I have a new setup in my room, since I gave my Dad my 40" LCD to replace our dead DLP.

My 27" CRT SDTV. :P

I know, some may call it a downgrade, but for old school gaming, I call it a upgrade.

Nice TV! Sharp makes some quality stuff, and like you said, that CRT is great for old school gaming.:)

Thanks. I inherited this TV from my Mom. We got that TV together some years ago, under my guidance (and against the Best Buy salesman trying to sell us a RCA--a brand I don't like since they went out of business in the late 80's, as all RCA's these days are just other companies pretending to be RCA).

I like Sharp. They are a nice brand, one of which you don't hear much about anymore.

Only thing I hate about Sharp right now though, is there 4 subpixel TV's that have a yellow subpixel. They look terrible in real life, as since yellow can already be perfectly replicated with red and green, it requires extra processing, that makes it look like trash.

Wasn't RCA acquired by Thomson Electronics? A French company? I think they were.

They were, but even GE produces products under RCA. Honestly, RCA just isn't RCA anymore.

Im still using a crt and dont intend on converting anytime soon,of course i might get a hdtv at some point but the crt will still be the main tv as i mostly play retro games or watch laserdiscs
