Just curious as to what you guys think of Mega Man 1 and Mega Man III on the IBM PC. Hi-Tech Expressions developed these games and I've heard that they are both absolutely awful compared to the NES and Sega Mega Drive versions of the same games.

I had Mega Man III at one point in time. I think "barely playable" and "rancid" are fitting description for it.
I booted them on an old Dos pc years ago,
I wish I hadn't.

This thread made me curious enough to go find a Youtube video of the Mega Man DOS game, and then download it. Yep, it's terrible, though I've seen worse.
I don't know how anyone could screw up a MM game, but I've always heard those PC versions are really bad.
THE oc version is TRASH, not even the same game. Total trash.
FYI, I just beat Mega Man 3 on my Nintendo last night, what an epic game.
Those MS-DOS versions are hilarious. :D

The game isn't supposed to run that fast. You need a slower processor, like a 386 to run this at normal speed.Quote:
