It's just electrolytic capacitors though. Electrolytic Capacitors are the Achilles heel of modern electronics. Everything else should last for quite a long time, possibly even 100's of years. And replacing the Capacitors isn't that big of a deal really. If people can replace them in Amps that use 1000's of them, I fail to see why it's so hard to replace them in consoles that use maybe 50 at most. And when you replace them your good for probably another 15-20 years.
The problem with emulation is that it's still not accurate. In many cases it's not even close to being accurate.
