Richie Rich
I was thinking that it is really a crime that Richie Rich never made it into video games, especially those 2D platformers of the 16-bit era that would seem to have been made for his adventures. After all, cartoon characters as archaic as Felix the Cat and the Smurfs got games over the years, but no Richie Rich. Being a big fan of the Richie Rich comic books as a kid, I really believe that the fantastic adventures of young Master Rich would have made for excellent 2D platforming fare.
They even made a live-action movie about Richie Rich in 1994, the heart of the 16-bit wars, but not even a single video game spinoff?
Any other fans of the comic books who would agree?

Because that movie tanked! Maybe there was some kind of rights issue because of the movie that prevented a game from being made.

I never read the comics but the animated series was somewhat lame it would end up a big letdown or just another generic platform without soul, if I remember right, the dog had much more appeal than the human characters.
One series I loved and don't understand how it never had a game (that I know) was Jonny Quest.

As a kid during that time, all I knew about Richie Rich was the movie and how horrible it was. I think Sega thought the same thing regarding their target audience.
I think it's even more of a travesty that Ronin Warriors never got a game. EVER!!!

I was really, really into Richie Rich comic books for a year or two when I was little (maybe 6-7 years old?). When I was a bit older, I gave them all away to an old guy who was ostensibly collecting them for poor kids (though I later learned there were rumors about him being a sexual predator). Now I can only vaguely remember something about characters named Reggie and Regina.
It is kind of surprising that no video game ever came out. You could just do a sprite hack of the 3DO Casper game. :D

I used to read very old Richie Rich comics from 70's as a kid, they were good for it's time when it comes to cash in comic book works years ago next to funny animal and superheroes comics. I'm sure I did watch that movie as a kid years ago and forgot what movie is about expect for few parts. Right now I find Riche Rich himself to be lame for some reason, a comic book about a happy rich spoiled boy? No thank you LOL.!
Again, 70's Riche Rich comics were good one to read, BUT not worth reading at all in this era age now unless you're sucker for really old campy comic stuff.

You know what would have been better? An Archies game. It could have just been Riverdale with tons of minigames and a loose plotline. Help Jughead eat the hamburgers! Press B!

you guys have no idea how tall my stack of Archie comics is, VERY tall! I was a archie nut as a kid LOL, still have them in basement, never bought any more archie comics for years and don't want to get any more of them now anyway.
Edit Most of them are from 1970's and sometimes from 1980's sand 1960's...

I liked Richie Rich but I don't know how well it would have translated into a video game. I guess I could see sort of a life sim type of game. What about Johnny Quest? Now he, Ace Bannon and Hodgie had some adventures. Did they ever make a game?
