Worth upto 200$ in gamepleay, somehow I doubt that, but yea true, you could sell it to get your money back.

Region can be altered on burnt games thanks to MadRoms.
Trekkies is right about PDS if you do enjoy RPGs. However, with a JP Saturn I believe you'd be looking at the single most problematic game to play (due to the nature of the 4 in 1 PAR cart).
@ curryman = you already got the greatest shooter on the system. Batsugun is considered one of the transitional games toward the bullet hell genre; haven't played it yet myself so that's just common opinion. Battle Garegga may sometimes be likened to a bullet hell as well but it certainly isn't, I can't play bullet hells at all yet find Garegga easy at most. Darius Gaiden does go cheap since it was also released in US. The Gunbirds are decent but be sure you enjoy Psikyo games first as all they're all pretty much the same; I strongly recommend these over Strikers 1945 which just feels bland, whilst Strikers II is broken on Saturn. DonPachi is another transitional to bullet hell game; I find it more like Raiden and lemonade; its sequel DoDonpachi is much nearer the bullet hell genre. Skip In the Hunt. Soukyugurentai can be routinely had for under $50 w/ shipping. RSG, just so you're clear, is a puzzle shooter.
re Pandemonium = screwed up sound and (IMO) controls on Saturn, take the PS game---excellent platformer.
re JP = virtually every arcade style game will exclusively feature English, or where it matters at any rate. You'll miss the story in Souky, RSG, Wolf Fang (which also tells you where boss foibles are, but they're easy enough to find on your own), but no big loss.
Unique doesn't= great(a POS game could be unique, does it make that worth paying through the teeth), and there sure are red flags(not saying It's not good or perhaps very good, but 200$ requires it to be pretty perfect, nothing to complain about(an insane amount of replay value, great maps, main system, treasure hunting, story, exc).
The fact It's so graphic based(on a system nearly over 12 years old)is very alarming(lol, and the graphics even look way better then most of the graphic based games today, a lot better), it has to be lacking big time in some area(exploration, longevity or what not), so sorry but there's no way It's worth upto 200 bucks in gameplay.
I'm shocked you even caught three people with your trolling. I trust you didn't actually pay $70 for it. In good condition with a bundle of games and a couple controllers with all hook ups, I could see people paying $100 or so. I guess $70 is possible, I'm just so used to finding them for next to nothing in Japan and sad that I can't do it anymore!
The Konami Deluxe Packs are affordable. DoDonPachi is usually $30-50, which is one of the cheaper "expensive" shooters. Way cheaper than the PS1 version! Others here have already given advice, but I will also add that, despite getting a bad rap, Sonic Wings Special is pretty fun and also cheap.
Have you tried Super Tempo?
The story is great, the dungeons are pretty nice to explore, there are interesting puzzles to figure out (especially if you want the best Dragon), the battle system is probably one of the best I've ever played in a game, and for the system and time period the graphics are pretty good. And while the towns may be a bit desolate, that's intentional. The designer said he wanted to convey a feeling of a post apocalyptic world. I'd rank it as one of my top 10 favorite games of all time.
The Saturn has plenty of excellent games in both the American and Japanese libraries. As far as JPN games go, some of my favorites are:
Street Fighter Zero 3 - Better-than-arcade Perfect port of Street Fighter Alpha 3. You really can't go wrong with this one, though it's a tad bit pricey. $60-65+
All Star Pro Wrestling Feat. Virtua - Excellent Wrestling game that didn't see the light of day outside of Japan. The gameplay is quite fun, no WWF-esque bullshit here.
The SEGA AGES Outrun release is the best port of Outrun for any system, it even runs in 60 FPS and has both the arranged and original music! I'm sure the same could be said of the After Burner II and Space Harrier ports.
Samurai Shodown IV is pretty fun too.
I hear Sonic Wings Special is good too (I LOVE Aero Fighters) and Super Tempo looks good, but it's quite expensive.
I focus the most on the American Library myself, so unfortunately I don't know a whole lot about the Japanese library.
Dude, if you haven't played the game, don't comment on it because of what you might've saw. Panzer Dragoon Saga is WELL WORTH the $200 price it commands, it is one of the greatest games I've ever played, let alone RPGs!
It's a very linear RPG. Normally I prefer more open-ended ones but it works here. For art direction and battle system, it's still one of the best in the genre. It is short by RPG standards (15 or less hours for most people) but to me that's a good thing. Most RPGs from that era have a ton of filler. Xenogears was my favourite at the time but now I don't have the patience to replay 60 hours of it so PDS' length seems perfect.
Is it worth $200? I'm not going to attach a money value as everyone's idea on that is different but I do think it has aged better than any other 32-bit JRPG. If you're wary, I would say to give it a try on emulator unless your PC is too old.
you could take care of it like i do... with an INTERACT brand "GAME SHARK" cart.
though it is intended as a GAME GENIE type cheat-device, it's one great unmentioned "Easter-Egg" feature
is it's ability to flawlessly override the SATURN regional lockout.
i got mine off the BAY a few years ago in NOS condition for $20.00USD. one of the best VG-related purchases i have ever made;

There's also the the Action Replay cart that does that and also will function as a RAM cart. However some third party carts are known for having thicker PCBs and wearing out the cart slot.
Game Shark IS the Action Replay, it's just the US name (Datel made it & distributed it around Europe, another company, Mad Cats I think, took over the US distribution and re-named it; later Game Sharks for later systems were seperate devices to the Action Replay).
Yes, but the first couple releases of the Game Sharks (like the one shown) and AR carts had slightly thicker PCBs when used in the Saturn's crap cart slot will make it harder for the slot to read Official memory cards, etc. But this information is well known and debated incessantly. I speak from experience since I bent my cart slot's pins with a Game Shark before I had access to the internet to know any better (1998).
Ok I knew it had to be lacking something, linearity can be over looked(especially if the game is awesome), but 15 hours ouch, that is short, but expected(I never understood why some people are against RPGs being long, It's the journy that matters most, not the end goal).
I sometimes "try" out games on emulator if I'm not sure about it, but much like how the saturn was a pain to code for, trying to get a Saturn emulator to work, is a pain in the but(this coming from someone who use to manually patch roms with translation patches mind you).
