This is truly a sad day, they made some really great games over the years that paved my childhood.

God damn it, when I read the title I thought "Who's gonna get the rights?!" because we could see some awesome rereleases and old properties coming back up. Then it turns out it's going to Konami. We're never going to see anything ever again.

They have pretty much been dead in all but name for a long time but it's still sad to see the end of one of the big Japanese companies. Even in their heyday (the PCE era) a lot of their games were developed or co-developed by other companies anyway.
