bump.
One more = Chakan: I want another set of each element, ie Terrestrial, Elemental, and Astral (whatever). Plus a harder final boss.
One less = Alien 3: the last pair of levels could go but even cutting down one would be nice.

One more: Fantasia
One less: Raiden Trad (why a stage 9? it's an impossible level, it completely ruins the feeling of achievement of the normal game).
I think if you remove levels of Kid Chameleon you being to hack away at the very stuff that makes is awesome.
Ecco the Dolphin 2 could do with that entire section of re-building the Asterite being hacked away, tedious tosh that was.
IMO one more level for Sonic, not that the game is too short, but after such an incredible experience you just want more.
Turtles Hyperstone Heist is just to short, when you deal with this kind of gameplay awesomeness you just want to keep going, around 30 min is all you normally need to finish it. However I must say that it is one of my favourite games ever and most problaby the game I beat/replayed most times.
Other games deserving more levels would be Castle of Illusion and Batman for example.
About the less level games and thinking games I actually like I would say earthworm jim 2, it does have some annoying ones to pick from.
Garfield: Caught in the Act sure could have used an extra level. Considering a bunch were cut from the game due to time constraints.
Sonic - Less AND more. Yes. What am I talking about? Well, I don't like going through three different zones of the same stage. Gets really boring and repetitive. I'd prefer a slightly bigger Zone 1 and then a boss fight zone that you didn't have to run through, just fight the boss. But definitely more stages. Maybe 10 stages with 1 zone each. This goes for all Sonic games.
Phantasy Star 2 - I would have definitely liked to visit Palma.
Castle of Illusion - I would have loved an extra stage.
Fantasia - How many stages does it have? That's how many fewer it needs. This game has absolutely no right to exist.
I'm sure lots of people disagree with me but Mario games always become repetitive marathons for me. I feel like most of them would be just as good if they were only half as long. By the time I get near the end I'm just sick of it.
It was alleviated somewhat by the games adding save features so I could take breaks. I know there are warp zones but it always feels like I'm cheating or it makes significant chunks of the game pointless. It just seems wasteful. If you're going to have large parts of the game that people are just going to skip over anyway then just make your damn game shorter.
Aladin one less level, I couldnt seem to finish that game never. One more, Jurassic Park for sure. I think it had only about 5? And the ending sucked.
I kinda wish Sonic 1 had another Zone like green hill zone. One easy to speed through but has other areas with hidden rings. Zones like Marble zone can be monotonous when waiting to ride those dumb green cubes across the lava. Just my two cents.
One more for Sonic CD, maybe the unfinished Desert level? :)
It's neat to see Aladdin on this list, because I WISH that game was longer! I can't think of much that should have LESS. Give it a bit, it will come to me lol.
*Digs through pile if Genesis carts*
Genesis:
Sonic 2----needed Hidden Place Zone and maybe WOOD Zone
Wonderboy 3---6 levels less....15 is way too fucking much for a side scrolling shooter.
PC:
Shadow Warrior---only 20 regular maps (2 hidden). Far less than Blood and Duke 3d. Needed 10 more levels.
Snes:
Bio-Metal---Hey....only 5 levels? Could use few more.
Kirby SuperStar---could have used 20 more levels...over too quickly.
Saturn:
Astal could use 30 more levels.... doesn't even compare to the length of DKC3 for Snes.
