The JVC Xeye and CDX contain an entire sega genesis inside. You misunderstand what he said - there is no such thing as a Sega CD without a Sega Genesis. As in, there is no system out there which will play Sega CD games, but not Sega Genesis games.

He's here to represent the average gamefaqs "I played this game in 2008 for 5 minutes on an emulator thus I'm an expert" opinion on these boards. It keeps us in reminder of why we choose to post on these sorts of boards instead of, say, Neo Gaf or some other causal "I'm hardcore because I started gaming with the PS2" board.
You just commented on the SMS, and the other day you talked about how the TG-16 sucked. You own neither.
I have 32 game systems and well over 2000 games. I doubt many people on this site have collections as big as I do. I also experienced these systems as they were released.
You were saying?
I love how every time Zoltor tries to pull an "I'm holier than thou..." with someone on these forums he gets bitch slapped.
The SMS is a unholy POS that is easily one of the worst systems ever to exist, and yea sorry, TG 16 is pretty crappy, when compared to all the awesome systems out there.
You picked the DC, because you can use a emulation program for crying out loud, and then you tried to claim emulation was homebrew lol.
I picked the Genesis/32X/Sega CD.
How do you know the SMS and TG-16 sucked? I thought you just said you play on real hardware. You said in another thread that you own neither. Neither suck, BTW. I have the complete US library for the Sega Master System and 141 PC Engine games.
The emulators for the Dreamcast are homebrew, you dumbass. They're not commercial. DreamEngine is homebrew. FrNES is homebrew. DreamSNES is homebrew. Genesis Plus DC is homebrew. None of those are commercial. They are homebrew applications.
The reason someone picked the DC is one of the good reasons for emulation. He owns the original systems obviously, but if he can only take one system with him, he will take a system that can emulate the others so he can still play those games. If the Wii or Original Xbox were on the poll, I might have picked them for the same reason.
And the SMS is not an unholy POS. I admit the NES does have a nicer library, the SMS does have its own charm in it's exclusives. I'd rather be stuck on a desert island with a Master System than with a 7800, a Jaguar, or even a 3DO for that matter.
I'd choose the Saturn over Playstation for the Shining Force games alone. The next best thing for Shining Force games is the Genesis/Sega-CD followed by game Gear.
Although several listings are among my favorite platforms, The Turbo/PCE is my absolute top favorite and has been since I got my first TG-16 around 1990 as a Sega/Genesis fan. You can't just point out similar games on other platforms and tell people that their personal tastes don't matter. Your favorite games are what they are and similar titles are not a substitute. There is no "best" console game library.
I just treated the TG-16 poll option as TG-16/PCE/CD/SGX, same as the MD/MCD/32X/SMS option.

Now show me yours, since you "play on real hardware"
unlike me
Nope, no PC Engine or SMS listed there. But how could that be? Zoltor said he's played these systems, but he doesn't use emulation, like me, he plays on real hardware, unlike me. How strange...
So Zoltor, you still think that the SMS and TG-16 is crap? You haven't even played them! I own both, and like I said before, they both have great games.
Awesome, some new quotes! :)
But It's not part of the system, and the games aren't part of the library, so either he's a moron(whom doesn't grasp the idea behind this topic) or he's trolling.
The 7800 is way better, I think you forgot It's BC with 2600 games as well.
Exclusives? The "only" game anyone ever brings up, is how Phantasy Star 1 wasn't ported to the Genny(some exclusive library). Really, the Genesis is basically a improved SMS(like all the noteworthy games were ported to the Genny, save PS 1)
