The iPhone game is more like "Turtles in Time Reshelled", merely "inspired by" the original arcade game. As Lastcallhall somewhat mentioned, it's a pretty disappointing imitation and far removed from Konami's game. So I wouldn't fault people for ignoring its release. :P

This is going to be a waste just like X-Men was unless they put in a difficulty system and don't allow for max credits. Further giving beat em ups a bad name, I actually cringe when they do these releases now.
What's up with all you guys dissing the max credits? X-Men wasn't even that good when it first came out. It's not like limiting the continues was going to all of the sudden turn a mediocre game into a great one. Actually people using the hell uo out of the mutant powers was a bit annoying but given the fact that your characters have a limited moveset you have to abuse that shit. With SoR 3 (and 2 to a certain extend) and especially AvP I didn't have to use my specials moves all that much because of the vast moves that these games had.
If i join psn+ for a month to download the game and my membership expires..i wonder if my Ps3 will still let me access the game afterwards.

Max credits allows bad players to see every scene and enemy while doing nothing but mashing buttons and dieing constantly. It is the same as infinite respawns in a shooter of any type, you can win the game without any skill. Limited credits causes you to learn the gameplay, however average, and leverage it against the enemies and bosses. Max credits makes a competent, or mediocre, beat-em up into a button mash fest with nothing memorable at all.
Very well said! We normally try to limit ourselves to just one, but with a group we sometimes change the rule to "a bonus credit for each boss defeated". That would be a cool extra mode but just having Survival in there is great enough.Quote:

Ten dollars for the XBL version? For that price I'd buy Simpsons: Hit and Run for the GCN or spend a few more dollars for The Simpsons Game.
