Lately I've been finding myself modding and fixing consoles more than playing games, partly because I don't usually have time during the week to play a few games and because I'm unemployed and modding systems has been a good way for me to earn some cash while I'm going to school.Quote:

Definitely not bored with collecting. Of course, I only collect games that I can convince myself I might play down the road, so I suppose that helps.

I only buy games that I play. I make sure that I complete my games before I go out buying new ones.
It goes in spurts with me, sometimes I get burnout from the collecting aspect of stuff, but it's mainly because I don't have a really good way to store and display it all yet, and stacks of stuff just look like a mess after awhile. Sometime though, all you need is that really awesome score and all of a sudden I'm back in the game looking for goodies. That lot of PS1 RPGs with Suikoden 2 was probably my most recent "reinvigorating" find.
However, in general I try to focus on only stuff that I've played or really want to play (my wife is a lot better about that than me), but if I see a good deal locally then it's hard to pass up. Case in point: This weekend I found a copy of Turok N64 for like $1 at a thrift and was like, "I don't have it, I remember playing, it and it's less than the cost of a breakfast burrito, sure!". Thus one more N64 title was added to my collection even though I probably won't play it anytime soon.
PS-The joy of getting a new package from eBay and going through it is fun too :D
Collecting for the sake of collecting always seemed pointless to me.
