I feel like I'm losing interest in video games...

I've had times where I've had no desire to play anything, sometimes overplaying can lead to burn out of your will. If this happens, I try to play 1 credit of a game and see how far I can get, it brings back the challenge that playing by credit feeding can't bring.

As well getting older can bring about new interests, I find myself starting to enjoy music from before my time. I also find going out with my lady to see friends of hers and socializing with a small crowd can be very relaxing, this is something I had no interest in doing before I met her. Now we'll get together, I'll have drinks with her friends ( a few not overboard), they are all older than me, yet easy to get along with. Who knows maybe the interest in games will swing back around to you one day Baloo.

I do that, too, I limit how many continues I can have on a game to avoid burnout. Especially when I get stuck on a level or a certain opponent, I like to put some kind of "house" rule on myself to keep it from turning into repetition.

I think it's natural to enjoy multiplayer more than solo play. It's more fun to have that personal interaction. I miss the days when I could regularly get together with friends for games. I try to balance that by taking games with me when I go out so that we can play games together. Playing online pales in comparison.

With sports games, it seems like all it takes is for me to watch a game on television then I'm ready to pick up the controller. Sometimes, I like to try to recreate a situation I saw in a real game and see if I can do it better than the pros!

Seek other pastimes.
