Tim Schafer (Psychonauts, DOTT) and Ron Gilbert (Monkey Island) make new adventure!

Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert have decided to join forces once more to create a new adventure game together. In order to get the funding, they've decided to turn to crowdsourcing and created a Kickstarter page - and reached their goal (practically in no time, it seems)! So by October we can expect a new game created by to of the best Point & Click-Adventure designers who created some of the biggest hits in 90s PC gaming days.

I must admit, I'm pretty excited about this!

Only goes to show: The Internet isn't full of pirates! People ARE Willing to pay (or even invest a little more) for something they want to own or deem worthwhile!

Wish Ron had ownership of Monkey Island.. I'd pay him to make a low res MI3 with his own story.. ;_;

Still going up. They're over $700,000 now. This is great, if it goes on like this then by the time this fundraiser ends, they'll be able to create a big budget game. And a new adventure by the godfathers of point-and-click, how fucking awesome is that?

No kidding, this is a dream come true. Chances are by the time this is done (or even before that), this project is going to greatly affect the industry in a positive way.

And then it turned out to be a childish looking Nightmare before Christmas kinda game with a sappy love story.

Its never about the apocalypse or the undead, always flippin Tim Burton stuff.

This is awesome. I enjoyed Psychonauts and Brutal Legend but the current gaming world needs a pure adventure game by Schafer more.

Less than 24 hours in and they already broke the 1.000.000$ Dollar-mark!

If this doesn't set an example for the industry, I don't know what will...
