Your top 10 beat em ups of all time

Thought of some new ones!

* Crime Fighters

A series by Konami exclusive to arcades. I never played the second one to judge it, probably good though.

Two more on Genesis are:

If we are including Hack n' Slash, then I enjoy these:

* Ninja Gaiden Black

I probably like more God of War games, just never played them yet.

I did back in the day, and it was awesome. But this thread needs some order, though. It's kind of unfair to place arcade games with console games altogether.

It's hard to pick only 10 so here I go..

No one should have King of Dragons in their top 10. That game has no combos.

Why does a game need to have "combos" to be in a top 10 list?

Well SoR 2 is a helluva alot better than X-Men. It's redeeming qualities are the graphics and 3-6 player modes otherwise the gameplay is horrible.

Combos are not a huge part of beat em ups ? A fighting game without combos is a like a pizza with no toppings.

If done properly you don't need them. King of Dragons is a perfect example.

Is a beat em up any less of a game if it doesn't include weapons?

You guys are forgetting Mighty Final Fight for NES. It was pretty late in the NES's life, so people tend to forget it.

that was a pretty good game, its a shame it didn't have 2 player mode though. that would have made it even better.
