Why would you bring manufactured goods into this? I think you're an asshole for not supporting North American companies who manufacture and create products in your local area. There isn't much manufacturing left we need to hold on what's left otherwise we're stuck with low paying jobs at Walmart. GM, Ford and General Electric all have factories in my area and employ skilled workers. Due to the investment of big manufacturing companies other smaller businesses that supply components pop up and create thousands of more jobs. Once you lose one of those plants it's a huge domino effect that destroys cities.
