Do you know anyone who's actually been diagnosed with Drug-Induced Schizophrenia? I do and I can tell you it was definitely the drugs that did it to the person. No one in their family had any signs or history of the disease. The only explanation was the drugs. They were getting high so much that their mind basically just fell apart. It's definitely not just something the government made up and used for propaganda.
I heard smoking a joint is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigs.
So, how is that for dangerous?

I doubt it's the sole cause of anyone's schizophrenia, but it's not hard for me to believe that it can exacerbate mental illness. I have a friend who's schizophrenic and has a major weed habit, and it appears to have a complex effect on his condition -- it helps with the side effects of his medication (haloperidol), but also seems to encourage certain benign delusions. If not marijuana, then hashish is certainly potent enough to mess with someone's brain chemistry IMHO.Quote:

About weed and schizophrenia, no I've never known a schizophrenic, and I've known dozens of potheads for years and years. Actually for all the stoners I've known, I can't blame any problems on weed. Some people might have messy houses or whatever, but people have their flaws with no influence of anything.
But for schizophrenics, all info I've seen points to govt. propaganda. Some people who have schiz. also smoked pot at some point, therefore weed becomes the scapegoat. If weed genuinely does exacerbate factors of schiz. for some extremely rare individuals, I would still think the blame mostly falls on whatever factors that person had already, whether it's genetic, psychological, or whatever the hell the factors of schiz. really are... Also, I bet most of those same schizophrenics have had a drink or two in their lives, but no one blames alcohol for schizophrenia. That's why weed is the scapegoat. Unless we blame schiz. on anything and everything that the person has ever consumed. Has he had coffee in his life? Caffeine, sugar, aspirin? By the same logic, we could blame schiz. on pretty much anything that a person consumes in his life...

I would think so. Availability of seeds has improved, so you can buy really good strains more easily, and also hydroponic technology is way better.Quote:

Yeah that does appear to be true, although there have been plants of different strengths and flavors for thousands of years. But yeah, people always say that in the 70's, weed was generally weaker, with more seeds & stems to always pick out, and that you couldn't just buy a bag of buds like you can today... Basically more people just smoke better herb nowadays, but there's still plenty of shitty weed out there, like pretty much anything coming from Mexico -- which is why it's such a joke when they blame Mexico's cartel violence on pot. Mexico has the worst pot in the world and they blame the violence on pot, rather than blame it on poverty & gangs. But if pot causes violence, then it would also be causing violence in all the other countries in the world, which are mostly all full of pot that's much stronger and better than anything from Mexico...
