I enjoyed this game back in the dreamcast days, I don't think I'm going to download it for ps3 since I still have my dreamcast version I bought back in 2001. on that note, has anyone ever tried the gameboy advance version of the game?
I did. It uses the Tony Hawk engine and it's quite good. It's rather hard at times (fucking missiles UGH) and the perspective does make a few things confusing (mostly jumps), but it's still an enjoyable version. Plus it's apparently the only game in the series where you can play as DJ Professor K, and it also has a multiplayer mode. You can also make your own tags like in the console version.
I mean if it's a cheap release idc but i'm still waiting to see ports of games that have well never made it outside of the arcades. Where is my System 32 compilation pack Sega? How about a SF3 Trilogy remake?
Sega should port or remake it's old RPG lineup to modern platforms.
Phantasy Star Generation I & II, Rent-A-Hero, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Wisdom, Mystaria, Shining the Holy Ark, Shining Force III, Dragon Force, Dragon Force II, Skies of Arcadia.
They should start by giving us the "Sega Ages" stuff from PS2.
Begin with PhSIII. It has much greater potential than 4 which latter would need either a profound mechanics overhaul or a profound dungeon and world overhaul, neither of which I trust to be done well after attempting to play Resonance of Fate (Valkyria's not really comparable).
For 1 and 2 are you suggesting further work or just Eng and worldwide language releases? For 1 I don't see many gamers now enjoying trudging down corridors their shoulders are touching the entire game. And as for 2 the visiphone would probably have to be given out at the beginning.
Weighing the work and risk needed to revamp these 4 games I'd say Sega's better off making a true 5th. It could be a (3)DS game if nothing else.
@ Shining Force Trilogy = yes please. Those horrible graphics. But acceptable only as a single release. Nothing new either, that effort can go towards a better Valkyria.
Obviously we all want the arcade stuff too but if came out on disk, which I think is how most of us would rather purchase it, it'd be ripped as 'dated'. Given that trophies are all but a requirement Sega could do something vicious with them, like totalling one's credits in quarters and showing how much money one would've just lost at a real arcade along with trophies like "3rd loss in a row" and "Dying in the same place you did before" or "Amazing! 5 Credits to get through 1 boss!".

That music!!
*swoon*
someone close to the game is talking on neogaf
apparently the draw distance has been increased a ton, and all the pop-up from the original is gone. And there will be other enhancements besides 16:9, but the guy can't say yet.
Is it an experimental jet set?
